Ballston Creek Preserve
|Ballston Creek Preserve is a 33 acre parcel owned by Saratoga PLAN. Parking is 500 feet down the road at Shenentaha Creek Park and a sign to that effect marks the start of the trail.|
There is a main trail just under .5 miles that leads to the edge of a marshy area that surrounds the Ballston Creek. This is the site of a heron rookery and there is a nice bench to sit on while bird watching. There is a small side loop of about .25 miles. The trail is a little rough but well marked with Saratoga Plan markers and hand carved signs at the trail junctions indicating you are on Pat's or Sven's trail.
