Indian Meadows Park

Indian Meadows Park comprises of 186 acres and is run by the town of Glenville. There is a 3 mile trail which is groomed for cross country skiing in the winter. The main trail goes around the borders of the athletic fields and there are conveniently located side trails into the main park that allows you to customize the distance. The North and East sides are generally wooded with dirt or crushed gravel and the South and West trails are wide areas of mowed grass. The most obvious starting point is where the trail crosses the entrance road.

On the South end there are additional trails through the woods not shown on the map. There is what appears to be a recently widened loop which goes past a wooden bridge over the Indian Kill and trails head south from there on both banks, old yellow paint blazes on the East, orange on the West. They eventually join again with stepping stones across a shallow spot and the trail continues for a little ways after that to the old Glenhaven School. There are several unmarked trails including one heading due west from the bridge but it's unclear if they are offical paths or not. While well defined and frequently used they end at private residences.
